Lead Hand

The lead hand is able to work unsupervised with minimal direction and support the crew in all aspects of the job.
Attributes:
- Ability to lead, coach, and train junior staff on telecommunications infrastructure construction. Rooftops, Monopoles, Self Support, and Guyed towers.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings with high level of attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate autonomy in day to day tasks.
- Maintains a strong commitment to safety and working knowledge of standard industry safety procedures. Follow all documented policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Takes pride in company image, and quality of work.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate complex challenges with clarity.
- Willing and able to travel within Canada.
Experience:
- 2+ Years of telecommunications industry experience both technical and rigging.
- Experience with working at heights up to 500 feet.
- In-building DAS and structured cabling experience.
- Installation of carrier grade equipment adhering to all documented methods of procedure.
- Solid background of construction and working with various types of power tools.
- Proficient with common telecommunications test equipment. (RF Sweep Gear, OTDR, Azimuth tools)
- Understanding of RF connector termination with various types of cables and connectors.
- Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license.
